The World Map is an interactive overview of the world of Cambria, showing all of the Regions your Hero can travel to, the Factions that currently rule each Region, and the location of any World Events currently happening. The World Map is where you can oversee the state of Cambria and control your Hero's geographical location in the game world.
Cambria is comprised of Regions which are ruled by different Factions. Heroes will be able to travel to most Regions freely right from level 1, but some areas will only be accessible after your Hero has progressed to the appropriate power level. World Events, Quests and Diplomacy create the potential for Regions to be opened up for Heroes to travel to, or to be closed off, depending on the evolution of the game narrative. There will always be a plethora of options for Heroes to choose from in navigating the game world, though those options will fluctuate in response to the actions of the player base.
The Aion Storm has revealed Leylines and Aionwells in every Region, meaning your Hero can Channel Aion anywhere they find themselves. There are Region-specific differences in loot, Materials, Questing, Faction presence and more. While it is not necessary to travel to every Region, it is highly recommended that your Hero explore different places on the map to uncover special gameplay opportunities. World Events also take place in specific Regions that your Hero must travel to in order to participate in.
